Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup of book bloggers hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week's subject is cover redesigns that we love or hate, but the only cover redesigns I can think of besides the classics are movie covers, which I pretty much always hate. So I'm going to turn my eyes across the pond to show you ten lovely covers (for books I love!) that I like much better than the American versions!
The Bear and the Nightingale
Memoirs of a Geisha
An American Marriage
A Brave New World
The Kite Runner
High Fidelity
Wow, British people get some classy looking covers. I prefer these to the American covers.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Many of them are the same, and lots of US covers are better! But I always like seeing the way the same thing is presented in a different market
DeleteI love this Daisy Jones & The Six cover. I think I like it better, too.
ReplyDeleteThe US cover is so similar, but I think the colors just pop on the UK version!
DeleteOh wow, I LOVE the 3D cover for A Brave New World! Much nicer than the cover I've got. The Bear and the Nightingale is so pretty, too.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT post.
I HATE the standard American cover of A Brave New World (which is, of course, the one I have too)
DeleteI really love that Daisy Jones cover. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so pretty, they definitely liven it up!
DeleteI love your take on this topic! I love the US covers for The Bear and the Nightingale and its sequels, but the UK are so pretty and different I couldn't resist. Great picks!
ReplyDeleteMy own personal copies of the Winternight books are all the UK ones. Once I saw them, I had to have them!
DeleteI adore the UK version of Daisy Jones & the Six. Since the novel has become one of my new favourites (and I've accidentally already reread it... twice) I'm probably going to snag a copy of that edition to go with my US print just because I'm excessive. Haha! Great picks.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's going to be one that holds up well on re-read...which it sounds like it must be, from your experience!
